Air source heat pumps are gaining popularity as an energy-efficient way to heat homes — but are they suitable for properties in the Forest of Dean, Ross-on-Wye or Monmouth?

Here’s what you should consider:
Your current heating setup – If you’re using Gas, oil or an electric system, a heat pump could significantly reduce your bills.
Insulation levels – Heat pumps work best in well-insulated homes. If your home needs extra loft or wall insulation, this should be tackled first.
Outdoor space – You’ll need space for the external unit, ideally away from windows or neighbours.
Government grants – Through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), you could receive £7,500 off your installation cost.
